Jeffrey S. Schoppert is a civil litigator practicing real estate, land use, construction, landlord-tenant, contract, business tort and governmental and municipal law before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. He has prosecuted and defended cases in state and federal trial and appellate courts across California, and represents corporate, government and individual clients in arbitrations and mediations.
Mr. Schoppert counsels developers, owners and government regulators in connection with the creation of affordable housing and compliance with regulatory restrictions.
Before joining the firm in 1992, Mr. Schoppert practiced law with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe in San Francisco. He has been a partner since 1995.
Mr. Schoppert has served on the Marin County Bar Association’s committees on continuing legal education, public information and administration of justice, and has lectured on litigation matters for its real property section. He has been an attorney advisor to Marin County high school mock trial teams. Mr. Schoppert was 2007 Chair of the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is an active member of the Chamber’s Advocates for Housing and Economic Development committee.
